The Water WalkDurato Dela is a school situated in the undeveloped countryside of Bensa, Ethiopia. The school teaches almost 2,000 students who have to bring their own bottled water to school. There is one bathroom for all these students and no place to wash hands.
On January 22, 2018, 42 students at Andrew Lewis Middle School participated in a three mile walk to simulate the conditions that the children at Durato Dela go through every day. Each student carried milk jugs full of water. |
